How it all began

Back when I was a kid, (saying that makes me feel so old!) I used to sit around the fireplace with my three brothers, my dog, my sister, and my parents during long, cold and harsh New England winters. After playing games and listening the same old stories my siblings would always tell, I would quickly throw on my snow pants and gloves and run outside faster than anybody else could. Some days I would even forget to put on my jacket!

After we competed to make crazy snow forts that would almost go all the way up to our knees and wasted all of our snowball reserves in rapid fire, we would come back inside to find a piping hot mug of Caramel Mint Wood Glue Soup sitting on the kitchen counter, surrounded by a wonderful array of freshly bought graham crackers. I can remember my tongue burning as I let my impatience get the better of me and chugged the entire glass down in one big gulp.

Even today, I still make this scrumptious snack during snow season whenever I want to fall back, relax, and spend some time updating my personal blog which talks about everything wild and whimsical from my daily life to fancy cuisine.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 300F degrees. In one bowl, pour in the bottle of (80z.) Elmer's Wood Glue. In a separate, smaller bowl, pour 2oz.-4oz. of Gorilla Wood Glue to taste. Pour the (1/2 cup) caramel syrup in with the Elmer's Wood Glue bowl. Mix until combined. With the Gorilla Wood Glue, add the (1 tsp.) peppermint extract, stirred to combine.

Combine both mixtures into larger bowl.

Step 2

Once the oven is preheated, insert wood glue mixture for 45 minutes. Stir occasionally to reduce bubbling. Remove once finished and everything is warm and toasty. Add up to 2/3 cup of milk for optimal consistency.

Step 3

Pour cooked mixture into (optional) serving mugs. Shave cinnamon stick on top, give a light stir to swirl. Optional, garnish with a mint leaf or two.
